I've bought dresses like this before and they didn't work out. What's different here?
Most flowy dresses are cut the same everywhere, so thin fabric either clings to your stomach and arms or hangs shapeless. This one has three specific structure points instead: a gathered waist that skims, a smocked cuff that holds the sleeve in place, and a heavier woven fabric that actually drapes. Reviewers from a size 14 to a 4X say it's the first one that fit the way it looked in the photo.
I'm worried the smocking won't fit over a fuller bust
Fair worry, smocked styles can run tight across a fuller bust. The smocking here has some stretch built in, but if you're full busted and want extra room up top, we'd suggest sizing up rather than assuming your usual size. It's an easy return if it's still not right.
Should I size up or down?
It's cut true to size for most people. Size up if you want a looser, more relaxed fit or extra room through the chest. Size down if you prefer it closer to the body. Either way, you've got 90 days to send it back if it's not right.
Will it be too short for my body?
It's designed to hit right around the knee. Reviewers between 5'1" and 5'9" describe the length as landing anywhere from just above the knee to right at the kneecap, so it stays in mini-to-knee-length territory across a range of heights.

Will the fabric be see-through or pill after one wash?
